Fred Gwynne also known as Herman Munster that I Carved for 2010 pumpkin carving contest. Hope you enjoy!
You are very talented but I would like to see work that wasn't carved from a picture, it would make it more original and therefore I think people would appreciate your work more.
Thank you but I thought Fred Gwynne was original, everyone else always carves Boris Karloff, lol. And I just wanted to give Herman some love! And portrait carving is just my style. If I did portraits of people nobody new they would just say who's that instead of wow! That’s Herman Munster or wow! Yoda, you carved that on a pumpkin, wow!
But art is all about expressing yourself.
I wasn’t trying to make you angry we all have are own opinions, so don’t be angry, art is a form of expression. And my art is expressed through my passion to create. . But I think that portraits on a pumpkin or done on canvas with charcoal or watercolor or pastels whatever resources we choose to use is art original characters or not, it still takes a lot of time and effort to put your heart into whatever we as artist choose to create. Unless we trace or steal then well that’s just crap and you shouldn’t even call yourself an artist.
Very Nice work!
isn't this the pattern from zombie pumpkins? I swear it looks like it. I carved it a couple years ago myself!
The stencil was provided by JBall. I Am very familiar with zombie pumpkins stencils, and this is Herman Munster(Fred Gwynne) from the Monsters a T.V shows that was done in the nineteen-sixties. The Zombie Pumpkin stencil is Frankenstein (Boris Karloff)1931.
AWSOMEE!! Good luck in the contest!
Very nice. Looks like you really put some time into this. And I hope you win.
